About Us:

Dr. Sunita Shaunak B.D.S. (London) L.D.S.R.C.S. (England) qualified over twenty five years ago in the United Kingdom.

She ran her own dental practice there for a number of years, both under the NHS system and privately. She has also worked in the hospital system and on a voluntary basis.

She first started working at AA Caring Family Dental around 2000 and is now the Principal of the practice.

Dr. Shaunak was invited to attend the 2020 Summit, as part of the Health Stream.

Dr. Shaunak is committed to a philosophy of personalised health care, which is based on a conservative, non-invasive and preventive approach to dental treatment, wherever possible.
She likes to consistently communicate one-on-one, with her patients, and to keep them informed with regards to their treatment, options and associated issues.
She also seeks to work collaboratively with her patients, on the basis of informed consent before proceeding with, and during treatment.

Dr. Shaunak holds a firm belief that as member of the community and as a healthcare professional, she has a number of responsibilities and commitments, including those to uphold the dignity and humanity of each of her patients, to endorse the integrity of her profession, to honour the respect which is reposed by the public in her profession, to continue to raise community awareness of dental health and other issues, and to ensure that she contributes to her community, both publicly and privately.

This is done in many ways, including presentations for community groups regarding dental health, and by providing, at her sole discretion, free dental care for certain people.
Dr. Shaunak has students who are studying dentistry working with her and continues to be involved in the training of dental nurses.

Kym is the Practice Manageress.
She is a qualified Dental Nurse, who has worked in a variety of different clinical settings, for around twenty years.

Like Dr. Shaunak she has a strong personal commitment to high standards, both within herself, for the practice and for her staff.
She is a valuable adjunct to the practice where she works to ensure its smooth, effective and patient-focussed operation.

The practice’s sterilizing procedures comply with the relevant legislation.
The practice has a strict Privacy Policy, which is available on request.
